Preventive Studies

As the Humanitarian Life Association, we go beyond merely raising awareness in the fight against addiction by implementing comprehensive preventive efforts and educational projects aimed at minimizing addiction risks. These initiatives focus on supporting individuals before they enter the cycle of addiction, identifying at-risk groups in a timely manner to provide appropriate interventions, and facilitating the reintegration of those who have completed rehabilitation into society. Through multidisciplinary approaches such as psychological counseling services, preventive education programs, and social support projects, we aim to eliminate the factors that fuel addiction and produce sustainable solutions on a societal level.

Through our Psychological Counseling Services, we ensure that individuals at risk of addiction receive emotional and mental support. By offering professional guidance, we aim to prevent factors such as stress, anxiety, and family communication problems from escalating into addiction. When necessary, we refer individuals to the Green Crescent Counseling Center (YEDAM), closely monitoring their recovery process and continuing to support them whenever they need further assistance.

With Preventive Education Programs in Schools and Communities, we provide young people with comprehensive information on smoking, alcohol, drugs, and digital addiction, helping them develop healthy habits. In seminars designed for parents, we focus on the roles they can play in combating addiction. These educational efforts aim not only to raise awareness but also to foster the adoption of correct attitudes and behaviors regarding addiction.

Within the scope of Social Support Projects, we implement initiatives such as We Are a Family and the Change and Development Project, supported by the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Turkey, aiming to help individuals in risk groups adapt to social life and stay away from harmful habits. By organizing artistic, sports, and cultural activities, we focus on strengthening individuals' social bonds. Additionally, through family communication seminars, we support the preservation and reinforcement of family structures.

With the adaptation programs we organize for individuals who have completed their rehabilitation process, we encourage their healthy reintegration into society, fostering their active and meaningful participation in community life.

In addition to these preventive and supportive practices, we design our educational projects to create a significant societal impact. Through programs such as the "Addiction Counseling Education" which enhances the capacities of experts and volunteers involved in combating addiction, and the "Basic Addiction Education" which provides foundational awareness to all segments of society, we facilitate the dissemination of both theoretical and practical knowledge.

In this way, we not only protect individuals at risk of addiction but also contribute to the development of future professionals and the elevation of societal awareness, fostering a more informed and proactive approach to addressing addiction.
