Addiction Counseling Education
The Addiction Counseling Education Project is a education program designed for students studying in departments such as social work and psychology and who are interested in the field of addiction. The main purpose of this project is to train well-equipped professionals who will contribute to the fight against addiction and to ensure that students have both theoretical and practical knowledge in this field. The training program aims to provide comprehensive information on different types of addiction (substance addiction, technology addiction, behavioral addictions such as gambling) and focuses on developing psychotherapy techniques, motivational interviewing methods and crisis management skills necessary to provide addiction counseling.
The program is conducted by psychologists, social workers, academics and experienced addiction counselors who are experts in the field of addiction, and provides information to students about the ethical rules and legal regulations they must comply with while providing counseling. In addition to theoretical training, students have the opportunity to apply what they have learned with case studies and simulations and prepare for situations they may encounter in real life.
During the training period, participants are provided with in-depth information on addiction and mentoring support is provided by experts in this field. Participants who are successful at the end of the training are given a certificate and are encouraged to step into a professional career in addiction counseling. With this project, we aim to benefit society and individuals by training effective and competent counselors in the fight against addiction.
