Addiction Counseling Education
The Addiction Counseling Education Project has been designed as a comprehensive and multifaceted training program aimed at students studying social work, psychology, and similar fields, as well as professionals actively working in these areas.
The main objective of the project is to train competent, well-equipped, and ethically grounded professionals who can work effectively in the fight against addiction. In this context, participants are provided with a broad perspective, covering not only substance addiction but also behavioral addictions such as technology and gambling. Additionally, the social, psychological, and legal dimensions of addiction are addressed in detail.
The training program is structured to include psychotherapy techniques, motivational interviewing methods, and crisis management skills. It is supported by case studies and simulation-based practices to help participants integrate theoretical knowledge with practical field experience.
During the training process, seminars, workshops, and mentorship sessions are conducted by experienced academics, psychologists, social workers, and addiction counselors. Through this approach, participants gain comprehensive skills in establishing effective communication with individuals struggling with addiction, providing counseling while adhering to ethical and legal responsibilities, identifying risk factors, and implementing preventive interventions.
At the conclusion of the program, participants who successfully obtain their certification are encouraged to pursue professional career opportunities in the field of addiction counseling. This initiative aims to ensure that individuals and communities have access to qualified expert support in their fight against addiction.
By enhancing the practical applicability of theoretical knowledge and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration in the field of addiction, this project aspires to deliver sustainable and effective solutions to combat addiction.
